On 28th October 2018, I worked with a group of fantastic volunteers to re-create the march taken from Hugglescote Church to Coalville Train Station by the Famous Fifty – the first civilian volunteers to land in France to fight in WW1. This 1.2 mile march was undertaken by 50 volunteers dressed in WW1 uniform and three in officers uniforms. They carried the standard of the Leicester Tigers Regiment. It was a truly magnificent day and this DVD tells the story of how it all came together.
